Portfolio

Any job worth doing is a job worth doing well.

I believe in dedicating the full extent of my passion, ability, and intellect to every project I undertake. Here, you'll find a selection of learning design-related projects I've created in the last year for Stukent, an Idaho Falls-based edtech company, and in my M.Ed. program at Arizona State University.

LDT 502

Articulate Rise Learning Module

In LDT 502, I created a learning module in Google Sites to train university professors to design and edit course introduction videos in DaVinci Resolve.

I've since redesigned the module in Articulate Rise to include additional interactive features and multimedia content. The new module includes updated learning objectives, a more focused implementation of UDL principles, video screencasts, and more.

2024 Experiential Learning Report

I wrote a white paper about the instructional affordances of Stukent Simternships™, applying independent research and much of what I have learned in my M.Ed. program to Stukent's simulations and courseware. This white paper established new company-wide talking points for the brand and its products.

LDT 508

WCAG + UDL Training Module

In LDT 508, we studied how to evaluate and improve digital learning for learners with disabilities.

One of our signature assignments was to take a mock website and redesign it according to WCAG principles for improved accessibility. We were also tasked with implementing UDL guidelines to improve the overall learning experience for volunteers.

Strengthen Your Skills Activities

In 2024, Stukent began adding immersive, hands-on activities to its foundational courseware. These 10-question activities seek to give students the opportunity to practice new concepts from the text, helping to solidify their understanding and provide immediate feedback on their work.

I worked on the Strengthen Your Skills activities for "Business Communication, Through College and Career," by Winship and Winship.

Instructional Slide Deck Redesign

In LDT 503, I redesigned an instructional slide deck focusing on design principles such as color, images, and type. Dr. Muñoz’s presentation discusses difficult topics (e.g., disasters, the COVID-19 pandemic), but because her overall theme focuses on helping students thrive, I selected an earthy, soothing palette with greens and browns.

Televerde Foundation
Partnership Video

I write a lot of video scripts for Stukent, but in 2024, the Televerde Foundation partnership video was absolutely my favorite. I wrote the interview questions for the foundation executives and program participants, storyboarded the video clips, and selected the footage for this video.

EDP 540

Theoretical Application

In EDP 540, I designed an instructional sequence to teach basic copywriting skills to undergraduate business, marketing, and communication students. This instructional sequence integrates multiple learning theories, including problem-based instruction, the ICAP Framework, Vygotsky's constructivism, and the six C's of motivation.

Learning Systems Evaluation Report*

LDT 506 was an amazing class — we spent the semester conducting a mock evaluation of a learning module for UN CC:e-Learn in teams of four. We wrote Requests for Proposal (RFPs), created Likert scales and semi-structured interview protocols, analyzed and visualized data, and made recommendations on how to improve the course.

My team evaluated the UN CC:e-Learn's Plastic Waste and the Basel Convention Self-Paced Course. We presented our findings in this 50-page final evaluation report.

*This final evaluation report was a group project.

Video Accessibility Reflection

I love video editing! I created this video response in Camtasia as part of my final project in LDT 508, the Design of Accessible and Inclusive Digital Learning. I am also able to edit in DaVinci Resolve and am in the process of learning Adobe Premiere.

Various Courses

I started teaching myself Adobe Illustrator over the summer, which allows me to create instructional visuals that fit the needs of my training modules and other curricula.
